ScrapMentorHello, and welcome to ScrapMentor! I am pleased to have you as a visitor to the Internet's newest source of scrapbooking instruction. I hope you will find lots of useful information here, and that you will return week after week to increase your knowledge of the wonderful, time-tested art of scrapbooking. I hope to eventually offer a full range of courses on a variety of scrapbooking subjects, from the very basic (see my Scrapbooking 101 course below) to more advanced topics. There will be something here for everyone! ScrapMentor was born out of a love of sharing information, and of helping others preserve their photos and memories for future generations. If you encounter anything in this ScrapMentor courseware that is unclear, or that you don't understand, I encourage you to write in with your questions - I love to hear from my students! Following are the classes currently being offered here at ScrapMentor. If you would like to see a particular course offered in the future, please feel free to make a request. Remember that all of the courses at ScrapMentor are offered free of charge, so invite your friends and family to visit and learn along with you. Scrapbooking 101This course will introduce the curious to scrapbooking "from the ground up." I'll begin with the concept of archival safety and introduction to basic supplies, and work through gradually more advanced concepts until you are able to produce beautiful layouts of your own that reflect your personal sense of style and artistry. You'll be given lots of useful photography tips, as well as a general introduction to stamping and use of a variety of embellishments. In addition, a wide range of useful computer information will be shared - everything from downloading and installing fonts, to digital touch-ups of "problem" photos, to creating your own embellishments. While you are not required to be a Scrap-Poodle member to take the ScrapMentor courses, I strongly recommend that you do, as this will make you eligible for the monthly prize drawings. I will post there about any changes or corrections to the courseware. This is also a great way for you to share your work with others.
